I know why I show up here every day.
Radius is the kind of place where you can walk down the hall, at any given moment, and see a senior leader with their arms draped over a cube wall, chatting with a young professional. That’s mentorship you can’t buy.
We love to hang out with our teams and teach the
next generation how to build pipeline. Our focus is on developing professionals who show humility and humanity, which we consider a really big deal. And we encourage our teams to have organic conversations with our vendors and partners, listen with intention, and show leadership by thinking for themselves.
A mentor once told me, “Hire the best people,” and that’s what we do. We seek out people who have a talent for building connections and telling good stories. I share with candidates that Radius offers an environment of learning and development and authenticity. We tell our channel specialists, “Go share your story with our vendors and partners, and find out theirs!” And then we trust them to represent what Radius is all about.
This approach yields an enviable difference in how we show up for the channel. It’s because things like mentorship and relationship development are right-brain concepts—they tap into creativity, “soft skills,” and emotional intelligence—when most aspects of business usually depend on left-brain skills. Don’t get me wrong! Operationally speaking, we’re bulletproof. The left-brain stuff is table stakes for us.
But a huge part of the Radius difference is that our approach to building pipeline for vendors and partners is relational. We don’t have our values inscribed behind the reception desk, but they’re easy to pick out: development, mentorship, authenticity, relationships, trust, and human involvement throughout the process. It’s what we’re really good at. We don’t train our teams, we develop them. It’s an important distinction for us because it delivers a kind of intrinsic value that finds its way into everything we do. Ultimately, it’s what makes us better than the rest in creating partner intimacy.
Back to the reason I keep showing up. At Radius, we know our “why.” We deliver on the unfulfilled promise of technology distribution to the channel, which is to grow pipeline for our vendors and our partners. Our values are clear, our approach is different, and we have the best people.
It’s why I show up every day. And it’s why I’ll keep showing up as long as they’ll have me.
